I bought this based on the other reviews, plus the fact it has no cord to clutter my nightstand, and a 5-minute snooze (so I don't fall completely asleep while snoozing). I love the chirping tone, the quiet operation and how simple it is to use. The thing I don't like is that it is not well lit. The backlighting brightens when you hit the snooze button, so if I want to see what time it is in the dark, I have to reach out and press the button to see the face (I would rather just open one eye). The hands have glow-in-the-dark material that only stays illuminated for a couple of minutes in the dark. I'm not sure if I got a lemon and should go to the trouble and expense of sending it for repair...I think I have kept it too long to return it. I highly recommend this only if you don't need to see your clock in the dark!
